Alonso took an early lead, but Sickles jumped way out with a seven-run second inning behind and RBI double by Derek Shaw, RBI singles by Chase Centala and Dylan Eskew, and a three-run home run from Danny Bernstein. Eskew did his job on the mound, allowing four hits including a two-run single by Alonso's Conor McNair, but earned the win on the mound with nine strikeouts. The Miami committed senior also added his fifth homer of the season.
