Bloomingdale 9, Sickles 4

Jackson Hobbs hit a bases-clearing double in the fifth and added an RBI single in the sixth as Bloomingdale defeated Sickles at home on Friday. Bryce Hazzard had an RBI double of his own in the win, while Justin McCallister improved to 2-0 on the mound working five innings, allowing three unearned runs, and holding the Gryphons to just two hits. For Sickles Trey Bacon and Rolando Linares had RBI hits, Justin Turk had an RBI sac fly and Danny Bernstein doubled.

Gaither 13, Hillsborough 1 - Five innings 

Cowboys senior Derek Crum hit a three-run homer and finished 2-for-3 to lead the Cowboys in a district win over Hillsborough. Gaither also had a 2-for-2 night from Adison Dubin with a double and two RBI, while Jordan Williams tripled and scored twice. Roy Peguero earned the win on the mound working four hitless innings and striking out four.

Tampa Catholic sophomore Tyler Whitfield singled in the seventh, stole second, advanced to third on a pop out and scored the deciding run on a wild pitch as the Crusaders got a walk-off win over Pace Academy. Tony Watson and Kian Knutson each drove in a pair of runs, Anthony Lefler doubled in a run, and Matthew Seoane with a run scored and RBI in the win.

Jesuit 15, Middleton 0 - Four innings

Justin Clark (two innings, six strikeouts) and Alex Bryant (two innings, four strikeouts) combine to keep Middleton hitless, in a four-inning mercy-rule win for the Tigers. Junior Bennett Lee continues to scald the baseball going 3-for-3, with a triple and four runs in the win, while Jonathan Shoop and Cam Alvarez each drive in a pair.

Strawberry Crest 9, Freedom 0

Strawberry Crest senior Alex Marshall struck out six, allowing just one hit in four shutout innings to earn the win for the Chargers against Class 8A-District 4 opponent Freedom on Friday. Junior Brent May finished things up on the mound, earning the three-inning save, allowing just one hit and striking out eight hitters. The Chargers got two hit nights form Tanner Kelley (two runs), Ryan Dell (double), and Ben Pues, while Alex Mussenden had a triple. Behind the plate, Joey Parrillo threw out three runners on the base path.
