Freshman Julian Montes tossed five innings to earn his second win of the season for the Lancers, and Tilden Agee came on in relief working the final two frames and striking out five. Blake McCoy and Duane Drummond each stole two bases in the win.

Trey Hinchliffe struck out seven in three innings of work to earn the win for the Buccaneers, while Tucker Fine had a pair of RBI.

Wharton 17, Chamberlain 1 - Five innings

Sophomore righty Jackson Perkins and sophomore Zach Ehrhard combined for a five-inning no-hitter on the mound for the Wildcats on Tuesday. Perkins was perfect through three innings with four strikeouts, and Ehrhard worked the final two allowing a walk and a run on a wild pitch. Ehrhard also chipped in at the plate going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI, while Brian Baughman was 2-for-4 with four RBI, and Frank Micallef also drove in three runs.

Christian Tate singled and scored the winning run on an Anthony Veal sac fly as the Hawks claimed a walk-off, 1-0 win over Jefferson. Trevor Finan went 6 1/3 innings striking out eight in a no-decision,  before Caleb Christiansen and Brayan Sanchez (win) each recorded an out in relief.

Senior Dylan Eskew followed his opening night no-hit pitching performance, by working six more shutout innings against district opponent Steinbrenner on Tuesday, where the right-hander struck out six, while yielding just one hit and two walks. Eskew also added two home runs and four RBI at the plate in the win, while Trey Bacon was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, and Rolando Linares drove in two. For Steinbrenner, Ryan Lowder (one RBI) and Garrett Reynolds (one run scored) each had doubles.
